Kathina Robes Ceremony

once a year, the Buddhist community rejoice in their meritorious deeds after three months of retreat.
During the rains festival, when many insects crawling on the floor make walking a tedious chores.
Monks go out to collect alms food. This Buddha felt may accidentally stamp onto ants and killing the innocent. On his great compassion, he set out this rule to stay indoor. Where they practice the dhamma, meditate to purify. Laities would carry their food to the abode to offer to the monks.
This centralised concentration training help the practitioners enhance their purification process.
 Practitioner who atained very high level of purification their ash after cremation contains relics.

 Pindapata is an act of charity where lay people offer alms to monk.
